You can test e-mail by setting up an e-mail client application like Microsoft Outlook, but this is usually a time consuming process. Test Mail allows to easily test your mail server by sending an e-mail through it. All that you have to do is supply an SMTP address and you can send an e-mail. SMTP with authentication is supported.

The software is free and requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to run. There isn't an installation program and you can start the program by running TestMail.exe. Its a good idea to place this program in its own folder because the settings are saved in an XML file.
